Pam Tompkins
Pam Tompkins is President and CEO of SET Solutions, LLC. She is a 40-year veteran in the electric utility industry. Pam is a founding member of the USOLN (Utility Safety and Ops Leadership Network) and presently serves on the executive board.
She is a regular contributor to the iP magazine and other industry safety journals. As a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and ASSP (American Society of Safety Professionals), Pam has authored and presented technical papers on electric power safety issues at Electric Safety Workshops, national conferences, and Department of Energy EFOCG meetings.
Pam worked in the utility industry for over 20 years and has provided electric power safety consulting for the last 18 years throughout North America, Caribbean and Central America. She has supported utilities, contractors and other organizations operating electric power systems in designing and maintaining safety improvement methods and strategies for organizational excellence. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), a Certified Utility Safety Administrator (CUSA) and an OSHA authorized instructor.

Matt Edmonds
Matt Edmonds is Vice President of SET Solutions, LLC. He is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), a Certified Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), a Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) and a published author with over 15 years of safety management experience. He is also an OSHA authorized instructor for General Industry and Construction standards.
Matt provides specialty safety management services for construction, general industries, and electric power organizations throughout the United States. He has been instrumental in the development of training courses designed for electric power organizations including OSHA 10- and 30-hour courses and NFPA 70E electrical training and program development services.
Matt presently works with utilities and contractors to provide technical and safety specific training, safety perception surveys, site audits and assessments, Root Cause Analysis and safety process evaluation and program development.

Pam Brandi
Pam Brandi works closely with our clients to maintain relationships and is dedicated to providing the highest quality customer service. In addition to client relations, Pam also manages the daily operations of the SET office, as well as cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Lyndall W. Dantzler, MBA, CPA, CGMA
Lyndall Dantzler is a graduate of Wofford College and the Darla Moore School of Business. She has 18 years of accounting experience in both public practice and private industry. Lyndall supports SET Solutions and the Office Manager with their advanced accounting needs, including: budgeting, cash flow, client pricing and tax return preparation. Lyndall also promotes the company with social media and marketing efforts.

Barry Tompkins
Barry Tompkins is Manager of Business Development for SET Solutions, LLC. He is a 39-year veteran in the electric power industry and has spent his working career helping utilities and contractors by providing solutions for electric power construction. Barry’s role at SET Solutions includes providing product and solution information to prospective and current clients and engaging in new business development with a focus on electric power.

A.J. (Skip) Holloway
A.J. (Skip) Holloway is a Senior Electric Power Safety Associate Consultant of SET Solutions, LLC with over 40 years of electric utility experience. He is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and an OSHA authorized instructor. Skip’s professional work experience includes a Senior Safety Coordinator/Trainer for a large municipal system with over 250,000 customers, a Safety Coordinator/Trainer for a large construction contractor, a Contract Administrator and Vegetation Control Coordinator, a line foreman and a line worker for a large power corporation. Skip provides electric power OSHA training, utility field audits, electric power skills training, incident investigations, switching and tagging training and process development and electric power safety process gap analysis to clients.

Mark Werndorf
Mark Werndorf is an Associate Consultant with SET Solutions. He is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) with over 38 years of electric power experience. Mark completed his apprenticeship as a lineman/splicer and he worked as a journeyman, a senior journeyman / trouble shooter, a line foreman and a Safety Supervisor for one of the largest public owned utilities in the US.
While working in the Safety Section, Mark lead many projects including a system wide Arc Flash hazard policy, AEDs, battery operated ergonomic tools, procedures for new line material (fiberglass, concrete and steel) and first-generation ground to ground fall protection. Mark was also instrumental in conducting root cause analysis investigations on several serious accidents leading to engineered hazard mitigations, better practices, revised safety rules and procedures.
Mark has expertise to provide electric power safety management process development and implementation by utilizing safety by design techniques. He works with clients to better understand Minimum Approach Distances (MAD), protective cover, personal protective grounding, high and low voltage metering, storm and restoration work, transformer theory, communication and job briefings, field ergonomics along with many other electric power applications.

Scott Young
Scott Young is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) and a published substation safety author with over 33 years of electric utility substation experience. Scott began his career as an Apprentice Substation Technician, worked through lead Substation Electrician and advanced to Substation Skills Training Supervisor where he was responsible for training, managing, scheduling and updating a (4) year Electrical Substation Apprenticeship program. While working for an electric utility, Scott was instrumental in the development of a Safe Work Practices Manual for Substation Operations and the production of substation safety videos. Scott presently works with utilities and contractors to provide electric utility technical and safety specific training, specializing in high voltage substation electrical technical training, OSHA compliance training and electric power safety process evaluation and program development.

John Thacker
John Thacker is an Associate Consultant with SET Solutions that holds an Advanced Safety Certificate from the National Safety Council. He has over 35 years of electric power experience where he performed substation and transmission linework prior to being elected to a leadership position as the Construction Representative with IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He was awarded a Safety Specialist Position, supporting the Substation Construction, Maintenance, Test Group and Substation Support Departments and later was promoted to Safety and Training Supervisor for Power Delivery Transmission. While at his utility, John chaired corporate Committees on Temporary Protective Grounding, Fall Protection, Substation / Lines Best Practice and Internal Audit Team. John has also been the Safety Director at two $600+ million construction projects.
John has expertise to provide electric power safety management process development and implementation by utilizing safety by design techniques. He achieves positive results through leading teams successfully and building effective relationships. He works with clients to provide utility field audits, incident investigations, temporary protective grounding, transmission fall protection, substation procedures and process development and electric power safety process gap analysis.

Lee Safley
Lee Safley is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and a Professional Member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (PM-SFPE). He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a BS in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology. He has earned an MBA and completed other advanced education. He has nearly 40 years of safety and risk management experience in the petrochemical and the electric power and gas utility industries, including nuclear. As the chief safety and health leader, for a Fortune 500 electric and gas company, Lee was instrumental in achieving a nearly 70 percent sustained decrease in companywide work related injuries and illnesses, along with significate corresponding and sustained worker’s compensation cost savings.
